WOODWORK (Palma)
Je rentre de Majorque...
J'ai vu l'expo "WOODWORK"... Un seul mot pour la définir : EXCEPTIONNELLE !!!
Des planches et des covers incroyables (Weird Science, Daredevil, Challengers of the Unknown, The Spirit, Cannon, ...). Sans oublier des comics originaux et divers objets ayant appartenus à Wood.
Rien que du beau (au moins 200 pièces originales), un régal pour l'oeil de l'amateur !
J'étais au vernissage, et je l'avoue, dans un état de fébrilité extrême, à tel point que j'ai raté quasi toutes mes photos ! Une bonne raison pour y retourner un w-e pour en refaire de nouvelles :-) (non, non, c'est pas une blague)
Si vous n'avez pas l'occasion de vous rendre à Palma, plongez sur le catalogue de l'expo ! J'ai la chance d'en avoir un, et je peux pour affirmer que ce pavé de 350 pages (et de 3kg au moins) est le "must to have" de tout amateur de Wood (et de comics). La quasi totalité des pièces présentées à l'expo sont reproduites à l'identique (scans des planches de haute qualité donnant ainsi des facs-similés vraiment impressionnants).

I just come back from Mallorca…
And I saw the exhibition "WOODWORK"… A single word to definite that : AWESOME !
Pages and amazing covers (Weird Science, Daredevil, Challengers of the Unknown, The Spirit Cannon, ...), original comic books and several things having belonged to Wood.
At least 200 original pieces of art (huge !)… A pleasure for the eyes !
I was at the opening, and I confess… I was very exited ! So much exited that I failled almost my photos ! A good reason to go back to Palma for a week-end (It's not a joke) !
If you don't have the opportunity to go to Palma, you must rush on the catalog of the exhibition !
I'm lucky because I have one ;-) And I claim that this 350 pages book (and more or less 3kg) is "THE MUST TO HAVE BOOK" for every Wood fan (and for comics lovers)… Almost totality of the pieces presented at the exhibition are reproduced in very high quality (the scans are very amazing) !!!
